The Kitchener Horticultural Society (KHS) was established in 1872 and is now 141 years old! Since 1928, the Society has had the privilege of managing Rockway Gardens for the City of Kitchener.
The Society promotes horticultural and environmental awareness in Waterloo Region through a variety of activities for its almost 500 members including garden tours, perennial exchanges, bulb sales, seminar, and workshops, youth events, horticultural therapy programs, and much more.
Members receive the Society's Growing Thoughts six times a year. This newsletter provides expert horticultural information, gardening tips and awareness of the Society's many activities.

The Kitchener Horticultural Society is affiliated with the Ontario Horticultural Association [more] and is the largest society in the province.
The Kitchener Horticultural Society works closely with the Kitchener Master Gardeners (KMG). In fact some members of KHS were founding members of KMG. [more]
