Enjoy a weekend of engaging speakers, gorgeous horticultural displays, and community at the 2023 GardenOntario (Ontario Horticultural Association) Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Convention.
GardenOntario is gardenKitchener’s parent organization, and all 2023 members are invited to attend this fantastic event. Each year the AGM and Convention is hosted by a different OHA district, and this year – the event’s 117th – District 2 has that honour. Societies and Clubs affiliated with GardenOntario will be coming together for a wonderful weekend in beautiful, Kanata, Ontario.
Join Hundreds of OHA Society/Club members from across the province at the Brookstreet Hotel. Catch horticulturally-relevant seminars on a wide range of topics, including urban farming, the future of bees, urban foraging and cuisine, Indigenous healing forests, and more. This year’s Key Note Speaker is Carleton University Professor and field naturalist, Michael Runtz, speaking on “The Devious World of Wild Flowers”. Take in a workshop, view competition entries and vendors, and take in live entertainment – fiddlers, singers, step dancers and more – at an authentic Ottawa Valley Ceilidh (Kitchen Party) on Friday evening.
Prefer hands-on learning? Explore captivating horticultural sites in the area via one of the many convention bus tours!
