Members, join us for an evening of updates, community and learning!

We’ll review GardenKitchener’s first quarter of 2026, then welcome Christine Gilhuly. Christine is a very practical gardener with a broad knowledge of horticulture. She has worked for Lee Valley Tools for more than 14 years, assisting people in finding the right gardening tools for them. She has been a member of the Waterloo Region Master Gardeners since January 2007, volunteering her time to help people learn more about gardening. She gives gardening talks locally and offers gardening advice at various events.

Christine will be giving a practical, hands‑on talk about garden tools, what to use, when to use it, and how to get the best results from the tools you already own. Whether you’re new to gardening or have years of experience, this session will offer clear, useful advice on everyday tools as well as some you may not have tried before. It’s a great chance to learn smart techniques, ask questions, and pick up tips that can make your time in the garden easier and more enjoyable.

Come early and enjoy some light refreshments and a chance to catch up with fellow GardenKitchener members. The meeting will be held in the building’s lower level.

Note that registration is required for this event so we know how many people to expect (click here to register), and you must be a 2026 GardenKitchener member to participate. Registration opens March 9th, at 9:00 a.m.
