Our Plant Exchange is back! Join us at Rockway Gardens on Saturday, September 30th to exchange plants with other gardenKitchener members in this ‘bring a plant, take a plant’ style swap.

House plants, shrubs, trees and seedlings are all accepted! Invasive species, such as Forget-Me-Nots, Goutweed (Snow in the Mountain), and others will not be accepted. Master Gardeners will be on site at the event to assess and identify plant material, and answer questions. Advanced registration is not required.

To participate,

1. Prepare your plants for trade. Please carefully check your plant material for pests ahead of time – only healthy, pest-free plants will be accepted. Package you plants appropriately for transportation in a pot or container (such as a black nursery pot), and label each plant.

2. Bring your proof of membership and the plants you wish to trade to the Garden House at Rockway Gardens on September 30th between 1pm and 3:00pm.

For each plant you contribute to the swap, you may choose a new plant to bring home. Read more tips for attending a Plant Swap in this blog post.

Reach out to hello@kitchenerhs.ca with any questions you may have, ahead of the event. We can’t wait to see you there!
